Un Simple Error

"A Simple Mistake" es una de la mejores canciones del disco "We´re Here Because We're Here"  (2010) de la banda inglesa Anathema cuya letra me impresionó mucho pues es un himno a la esperanza más allá del tono melancólico del tema, y que además lleva una parte vocal muy interesante tomada del libro "Defending Middle-Earth Tolkien: Myth and Modernity" por Patrick Curry, que a la letra dice así:

"Despair is for people who know, beyond any doubt, what the future is going to bring.

Nobody is in that position.
So despair is not only a kind of sin, theologically, but also a simple mistake, because nobody actually knows.
In that sense there always is hope"

Que en buen idioma español diría así:

"La desesperación es para gente que sabe, sin lugar a dudas, lo que el futuro va a traer.

Nadie está en esa posición.
Así que la desesperación no es sólo una especie de pecado, teológicamente, sino también un simple error, porque en realidad nadie lo sabe.
En ese sentido siempre hay esperanza."
